Venue: University Centre Weston Winter Gardens, North, Royal Parade, Weston-Super-Mare BS23 1AJ A bit about Kerry: Kerry is an early year’s specialist, author, and lecturer whose work champions neurodiversity-affirming practice, anti-ableism, and inclusive pedagogy. She is the founder of Diverse Pathways for Early Childhood, a project reimagining child development guidance by centring strengths, identities, and diverse ways of being. Her latest book, Neurodiversity-Affirming Practice in Early Childhood: An Empowering Guide to Diverse Development and Play (Routledge, 2025), offers practical tools for educators. Currently completing an Educational Doctorate on self-directed play in neurodivergent children. Kerry is passionate about reframing early childhood education away from compliance and normalisation towards practice that honours autonomy, relationships, and diverse developmental pathways.
