The IMI Level 2 Award in MOT testing classes (4 &7)

The course runs from Monday to Friday and the course week is split into separate units consisting of:

Manage Own Professional Development as an MOT tester.

Carry Out a Statutory Periodic Roadworthiness test.

Working Relationships within the vehicle test centre.

Carry out pre-test checks for a Statutory Periodic Roadworthiness test.

Safe working practices in the vehicle test centre.

The final day is a practical MOT assessment and then an externally marked online exam that consists of 40 questions, open book (MOT testers guide available) with 75 minutes to complete.

Level 3 Award MOT Test Centre Management qualification

The course is delivered over 2 days and covers the following content:

Manage the legislative and compliance requirements of a vehicle test station

Develop and supervise test centre staff

Regulate test centre quality systems

Carry out audits

Deal with customer service problems and complaints
