Join us for an exciting trip to The Playback Arcade at The Galleries, Bristol, where you will explore the fascinating history of gaming technology while connecting with peers. The trip will take place on a college day, starting with a meet-up at 9:45 am by the hot air balloon on the bottom floor of the Galleries. After receiving wristbands, you will enter the arcade at 10 am and enjoy access to a range of classic and modern games. Lunch will be from 12 to 1 pm, with staff supervision in the nearby food court. Please note that toilets are located outside the arcade, and a staff member will monitor students as they return promptly to the venue.
The trip will conclude at 4 pm, after which students are responsible for arranging their own transport home. This trip is a unique opportunity to dive deeper into the evolution of gaming technology. Tickets are £10, and students are encouraged to bring a packed lunch and a water bottle. Attendance is Very strongly encouraged, as this trip ties into coursework on the history and context of the games industry.
