Management Development and Mentoring

We’re excited to offer learners the opportunity to take part in a college trip to Barcelona, a vibrant city known for its rich culture, sustainability and animal conservation. The trip is 4 days 3 nights and will give learners the chance to visit some of the city’s top attractions.

Price includes: 

·     Return flights from Bristol Airport with 15kg luggage per person.

·     Return airport transfer from Barcelona Airport to Accommodation.

·     3 nights bed and breakfast accommodation at Urbany BCN Hostel Meridiana, Barcelona.

·     Entrance to Barcelona Zoo

·     CRAM visit (a marine animal rescue centre)

·     Aquarium Barcelona

·     CRARC (amphibian and reptile recovery centre)

The 4 days will comprise of a tour to Sacre Coeur, Montmartre, 3 hour guided tour, Marsis Quarter, Fragonard Perfume Museum - Guided Visit, River Cruise, Palais Galliera, Notre Dame Cathedral Photo Opportunity, Musée des Arts Décoratifs - Entry, Musée, Arts Décoratifs - Guided Tour, Galeries Lafayette Haussmann and Fashion Show at Galeries Lafayette Paris

The protective service provision is delighted to announce an international trip to Bali, Indonesia, from the 11^th to the 23^rd of February 2027, for the level 3 Year 2 cohort. This will be, potentially, a life changing experience as students develop professional skills in a Balinese context as they are immersed in cultural and social action activities.

As part of the experience, students will live in a range of accommodation ranging from hotels to jungle cabins. The adventure will be geared around developing knowledge, skills and attitudes conducive to Protective Service employment.

The trip is open and planned for 20 students on the 2^nd year programme to attend. Any student not wishing to attend or unable to please inform Dave Beresford at the earliest opportunity. The provision reserves the right to refuse entry on to the trip based on factors such as behaviour, attendance and work submission. The trip will be accompanied by 2 male and 1 female staff member who will be supported by additional support staff whilst in country.

In preparation for the trip, students need to make sure they are in possession of a valid passport (this needs to be valid for 6 months from return date). Medical vaccinations need to be organised through medical centres and include Tetanus and Typhoid. An entry visa needs to be applied for and purchased at a cost of £30.00.

Bali is a beautiful country dominated by a Hindu religion. This cultural place requires certain dress codes and conducts which will be informed of at information event. The trip has been heavily subsidised to reduce student contribution.
